Yes. Your hotspot must be connected to the internet in order to communicate with the blockchain.
Is This Helping To Push 5G?
As per our research, no. The wireless signal does deal with radio waves. Those radio waves are above the level of FM radio. They do not transmit a lot of data and are not influenced or needed by a 5G network.
